3 Reasons You SUCK at Poker

Ya, I said it. You suck at poker. Don't worry, though, as most everyone else does too. Did you know that 85% of online poker players lose money? That means less than 15% of players are actually making money. It's staggering really. At any given time on the most popular poker room online, there can be around 100,000 people logged into the site. 15,000 players are basically taking money from the other 85,000 players. Here's 3 reasons why.

The first one is the biggest and it trickles down to the next one. You've seen ESPN's converage of the World Series of Poker on tv. You think to yourself, hey, it doesn't look that hard. I could do that. Wrong! It's called the World Series of Poker where the best players in the world get together to hash it out on the felt. The majority of players you see on tv are professionals.

Do you know how long it takes to be a professional at something? The answer...A LONG TIME! Professional baseball, basketball and football players all work their way through the ranks to get to the professional level. Pro card players have played thousand upon thousand of hands, in both online and live games. It takes big time to make big money.

It's the same concept if you're, say, an accountant. You do that for a living and if so, you're probably pretty good at it. If a professional poker player tried to do your job, he'd probably suck it up too. It'd take time for him to learn how to do it properly.

Next, you probably bluff too much. This goes back to watching poker on tv. We've all seen guys playing crappy hands like 68 offsuit and winning. What you don't see are the 100 or more hands prior to that hand which tells that player it may be profitable to play a 6-8 offsuit in that certain situation.

Things like position, how many people are in the pot and what the others' playing styles are like all are taken into account by the guy playing that 68 off. Unless you know what you're doing, fold the 68 next time.

And finally, it's what else you're doing while you play. Do you have a tv on watching Law and Order or a football game? It's distracting and even having music on is distracting too. Are you tired or depressed about something? You just can't play right if you're not focused. And drinking alcohol, ugh, I've done it. It gives you superman disease; you play outside your limits, play bad hands, think, eh, it's only money and talk smack to other players. Stick to good ole water.

Playing Online Roulette for Fun

Playing Online Roulette for Fun
Roulette is a gambling game in which a small ball is rolled on a moving wheel, and people try to bet on which compartment the ball will fall into to win money. The compartments have a series of specified numbers or colors that may be black or red. There is also a wedge between each compartment.
When the wheel spins the ball hops and moves around until the wheel stops. When the wheel comes to stop, it lands in between the two ridges where you find a specified number. It is a game of chance and it is very exciting to play. The players who play the game place a wager on the outcome of the spinning wheel. Online roulette game is played on the computer sitting in the comforts of your home.
To play online roulette you have to visit any of the sites that offer online casino games or gambling. It is quite different from that you visit and play at land casinos. Online roulette offers you more control over the game. And you won't get distracted by the surroundings. Unlike the casinos, you cannot be made to stay there for a long time. Casinos are known to provide a lot of entertainment that those who visit them spend a lot of time. The more you stay the more you spend money. Further, there are also other attractions and alcohol that is served free of cost. The online roulette does not offer you such things. You can play it any time and if you wish to quit, you can do so.
However, there are few things that you need to take care of while playing online roulette. There are chances that you spend a lot of money online. Since you use electronic money while playing online games, it is not necessary that you will be aware of how much you are spending as you do not view the money. Another problem is the temptation to play often because of the convenience it offers.

Online Gambling Systems - Revealed Here is a Simple, Profitable System You Can Start Using Right Now

When looking for online gambling systems, you need to be aware that there's a lot of people out there who are more than happy to separate you from your money and give you junk in return. If you're willing I'm going to give you a simple gambling system that you can use online right now.
If you've heard of Fibonacci, then this will make sense to you. The Fibonacci sequence works great at helping you make back losses against a small house edge. Only use the system with blackjack, European Roulette, baccarat, or the pass line bet in craps.
The Fibonacci sequence works like this. One, one, two, three, five, eight, thirteen, twenty-one, etc. this is how you bet it. You start by taking one unit. You continue betting one unit until you lose. When that happens, you start to work your way up the Fibonacci sequence. After one loss, your next event is one unit. If you lose again you bet two units. If you lose again, you bet three units. I believe you can see how this goes now.
The end of the sequence and finish ahead, you need to win two bits in a row or you need to win two out of three. By doing either of those two things you will end up ahead, and you go back to betting one unit.
This one unit can be whatever you choose to be. Your best bet is to make it the table minimum. This is to help you not run into the table maximum if you had a long string of losers, I'd have to work your way up the Fibonacci sequence.

Retirement Benefits

Retirement benefits: Blackjack:
I spent the entire night thinking about what my son who is an online poker player told me. He said the best way for me to spend my time in retirement was to learn an online gambling game and play it for low stakes at one of the many web sites.
So started my day in the morning surfing the web to try and find the game that would keep me occupied and maybe make me my first million. Having been an avid fan of James Bond I said to myself what better game to learn than Blackjack. Boy was I in for a surprise.
I have been a teacher of mathematics for 31years and the one rule of the game seemed simple enough to me. Cards in hand should total or be as close to 21 in total with the Ace having a value of one or eleven, the number cards up to nine having their face value and 10 and the picture cards having a value of ten, suits having no consequence. The objective was to beat the dealer.
I had the option and so did the dealer to call for additional cards if I wanted, called a "hit" or if satisfied let my cards "stand". Pairs could be "split" into two hands played separately, and so on and so on till the confusion in my brain began.
So I chose the very convenient Strategy trainer/free blackjack game to check out what I had understood so far. It was highly instructive as I kept playing and on my first test drive placing 100$ bets I played ten hands to check my proficiency. I won five and lost five hands, a 50% win record at the first attempt which can also be constituted as a 50% loss record, more a case of the glass being half full or...
The best part of the experience was that I had spent my morning hours in one place, not spent any money and had not got into anyone's face. The next time around I intend to wager small stakes and hope to make my first million before I pass on to the casinos in heaven or hell, wherever I am destined to be.

The Reasons For Online Casino Gambling

Online casino gambling is something that you can have a lot of reasons to try. Even if you have never gambled before, online gambling is the wave of the future. You will be able to learn all that you need to gamble online. You will find that there are a lot of different things that you will be able learn and experience when you are online.
People will often go online and gamble because it is very relaxing. Put some money aside that you can spend on whatever you want and use it to gamble. You will find that this is a relaxing hobby that can really pay off sometimes. It is important of course for you to only use the money that you can afford to play with. After all, it is not very relaxing to be broke.
If you happen to frequent casinos but not as often as you would like, then online gambling can be something that you can really benefit from. When you are not at the casino, keep your skills sharpened by playing online. You will find that you can learn a lot of things in between casino visits whenever you are still able to play on a regular basis. Playing at a casino can be very stressful and difficult if you are not used to the game. Make the game come to you naturally while you are in an environment that you are not familiar with.
The pay is of course something that keeps people coming back. While it is not a guarantee that gambling will pay you well, it is something that gives you the opportunity to win big. Whether you wish to earn a few bucks or try to do it professionally, gambling online can help you to get ahead of the game financially.
Of course it should always be remembered that gambling is not a guarantee to anything but a good time. You should not make any bets that you cannot back up. Gambling is meant as a fun hobby and something that you should do only if you can afford to.

Laws Regulating Casinos in New Zealand

Gambling is one of the most popular leisure activities across New Zealand. Millions of residents take part in various forms of gambling every year, and the government has enacted strict laws to ensure that players are able to gamble in safe and secure environments. In New Zealand, special rules regulate the operation of casinos.
All forms of gambling under the Gambling Act 2003 are divided into four categories. Casino gambling and electronic gaming devices fall under Category 4: high risk gambling. The Gambling Act places very strict guidelines on the way in which Category 4 activities are to be carried out in gaming clubs and other venues. There are separate rules for casino gambling, however.
According to the Gambling Act 2003, casinos can be open all day. However, they must be closed on Christmas Day, Good Friday and Anzac Day. Most casinos in the country are not open 24 hours a day; the one exception is Sky City Auckland.
The Gambling Act also states that operators cannot build new casinos in New Zealand. While licenses can be renewed, operators cannot build new properties until the act is updated. Casino operators are allowed to renovate their properties, as we have seen in locations like Auckland. While they are able to expand their hotels, build new restaurants and change the d?cor of the casino, operators cannot add new table games or electronic gaming machines.
Casino operators in New Zealand must also take responsibility for the promotion of safe gambling among patrons. As such, operators must ensure that a wide range of literature is available to visitors, such as pamphlets that explain the odds of winning at particular games and information about how to recognize the signs of problem gambling. Additionally, all staff who come into direct contact with players must be able to identify problem gambling behaviour. Casinos are required to provide training for problem gambling awareness.
Only land-based gambling operators must adhere to laws set out by New Zealand's Gambling Act. Currently, online casinos and other gambling websites are not regulated by New Zealand's government. In the future, offshore gambling websites may become regulated, as the government has recently issued a call for submissions regarding the Interactive Gambling Act. The local government wants to determine the impact of smartphones on the online gambling market and obtain perspectives on the market in general. So far, several submissions have encouraged the regulation of online gambling in New Zealand. As such, the possibility the New Zealand government could regulate online gambling is increasing.

Who Really Has the Advantage, the House Or the Player?

We have all heard about the house advantage in all the casino games, both online and off. But do you really know who has the advantage in which games?
Let's start with two simple questions:

What game does the casino make the most money on?
What game does the player have the best advantage?

Keep your answers in mind.
Smart players will know what to play and how to play. I was in Vegas one time with a friend who had never been before. Oh he had done some OTB play and poker with his buddies, that kind of thing, but never in a real casino. After we had been playing in the Luxor for a while, he came up to me very excited and said "Now I get it, you have to give 'em enough money before they let you win!" He had just won quite a bit at the roulette wheel. But of course he had made quite an investment before the win.
Believe it or not, many players play this way, making big bets time after time until they get a lucky hit. Some times they come out ahead, but a lot of time they wind up just breaking even or a little better.
So let's get back to our questions. What game did you say the house make the most money from?
If you said BlackJack you would be right. This is the house gravy money.
And which game does the player have the best advantage at?
Surprise! BlackJack! Yep, number one for the player is BlackJack and number two is Craps!
Doesn't seem to make sense does it? The reason is that of all the people that play BlackJack, only about 2 percent know how to play the game. The other 98% are the house gravy. I know, I know, YOU know how to play. Are you sure? Have you studied the game? Read books on it? Know the odds on each hand base on the dealers up card? It's not as simple as that 98%  you learn to play the game properly, you will be playing the house head to head with no house advantage.
Craps is the absolute king of the table games and like BlackJack the player can win.
I wrote this to make people realize that if they learn the games, and play the games where the player at least has a chance, they will come out a winner.
